Although Philly locals Hootsie refer to themselves on Bandcamp as “Your least favorite country band” and on Facebook as “just another stupid band playing music you don’t know,” they just released their new single “High Tide” on May 14 and it definitely caught our attention. It was recorded, mixed, and mastered remotely by Jeff Yerger (guitar, vocals, bass, synth) and Miguel Padro (drums, mastering) during their time in quarantine from March to May of 2020.
