Between Acts is a solo project started by David Komorowski, a Philadelphia suburb native who grew up in the Ambler music scene. Throughout his high school and college he has done various projects – most recently Day5 (hip-hop), however his true passion has been writing songs and becoming a singer/songwriter. His first EP, Growing Pains, was just recently released on all digital platforms with several music videos on the way. Although it is a solo project, the new EP has a full band sound with songs about relationships, family, and never losing hope. Currently David Komorowski is back in the studio recording his next EP which could easily turn into a full album, stay tuned!
What’s The Best Thing You’ve Binged recently? I don’t typically binge watch TV but lately found myself obsessed with a reality camping show – Alone and the TV family based sitcom – The Goldbergs. Now realizing that they’re complete opposites.
Which Philadelphia Restaurant Should We Get Takeout From? My two favorite spots right outside of Rittenhouse is Sampan (Asian cuisine) and Charlie was a Sinner (vegan cocktail bar). Once things open up I will be going to both! If you find one…just look across the street… you’ll see the other
Which Philly bands should we be listening to? Birthday Boy and The Wonder Years. I’ve played in bands and In shows with members of both and love those guys! Great music!!
Which non Philly bands should we be listening to? I came across a rock duo based out of Asbury NJ called Little Vicious when I watched them play in Manayunk and they brought down the house!! Definitely check them out..live if possible especially
When This Is Over Who Do You Want To Play A Show With? X Ambassadors would be a dream show because they bring so much energy to every show!! More realistically I’d love to get back out there and play with my buddy Archpalatine. Local artist, amazing vocals.
First public place you want to go to after quarantine? I’m a brewery and travel fan. I had plans to go to Other Half (NYC) or The Veil (VA) and site see / have some drinks. So when things open up I will be there to enjoy a nice cold craft beer.
First activity you will do after quarantine? BOOK SOME SHOWS!!
Have you embraced cocktail hour? What’s your favorite cocktail? Love me an Old Fashion. I even make them at home!! Must be with Bulliet or Knob Creek bourbon.
Where should we be donating our dollars to help out our fellow Philadelphians? Any local restaurants in your community or more specifically you can find ‘ We Are Philly’ t-shirts and purchase them online. Every shirt bought will donate a food package to those in need and impacted from COVID
