“Sit Down” With Niyonu and Listen

Niyonu’s “Sit Down”, embodies the woodsy atmosphere of Mossy Rock, WA where it was written. The song is meditative and comes from a place of experience. The track is relaxing with a pulsing hip-hop-like backbeat that pulls you in and lights a path to follow.  Upon arrival, you are met with Niyonu grabbing you by the hand, to remind you of the world’s injustices and need for consistent activism for black, American voices.

While Niyonu’s “Sit Down” is a bit slower paced, it’s powerful in showing its limitless strength in revealing our buried emotions.  It is encouraging you to reconnect and reflect with those who may have walked different paths.  Inspiring you to reach out and listen to the stories told about the great unknown.
